William Harry (Bill) Middlemiss, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at The Meadows in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Bill Middlemiss was born on January 30, 1948 to William & Margaret Middlemiss in Swift Current.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, William & Margaret Middlemiss; his brother Jerry Middlemiss; his sister Jean Heuer; his brother-in-law Earl Heuer; and by his niece, Debbie Linklater.
He is survived by his children and their families, his son Fred (Rena) and their children, Logan and Maria; his son Nathan; his son Justin (Jenesse) and their children Ava and Liam; his son Jeffrey (Sarah) and their daughter Maggie; and by his sister and brother-in-law Eva & Nels Linklater, as well as by several nieces and nephews.
Bill attended school in Swift Current, at Ashley Park, Central, and Beatty Schools. In 1970 he received a Diploma in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan and went on to farm for many years.
In his younger years Bill enjoyed his involvement in 4H, curling and baseball. Bill lived at the family farm near Burnham and actively farmed until 2011. He was a proud recipient of the ISC Century Award, carrying on the farm after his father William, and grandfather Thomas.
Even off the farm while in care, he never wanted to miss a farm or cattle auction and was always waiting for the next Western Producer / Booster to arrive.
A special thanks to the staff at The Meadows and everyone who stopped by for a visit.
