Wilburt Harder

Harder, Wilburt Harry age 90 of Swift Current, Saskatchewan passed away on August 8, 2023 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. The graveside service was held on August 24, 2023, at the Turnhill Cemetery. The Pallbearers were Duane Ring, Shaun Ring, Justin Mutch, Mark Kroeker, Dylan Gall, and Brandon Harder. Wilburt is survived by his siblings; Doris Ring, Burdette (Diane) Harder, Lois Gering, Rodney (Brenda) Harder, as well as six nieces and 2 nephews. 
Wilburt was predeceased by his parents Gus and Mary Harder, a brother in infancy Ronald, and brothers -in-law Harold Ring and Murray Gering. Wilburt was born in a two-room house in the Beaver Flat District on September 22, 1932. He attended the Turnhill School. Wilburt spent many years working for the Willard Schriock family at the Beaver Flat store and on their farm, and they became like a family to him.  He also drove school bus for many years and farmed. 
Wilburt was an accomplished fastball player and spent many years playing for several teams in the Swift Current District.  For the past four years Wilburt lived at Cypress House.
