Violet Hahn was born on March 17, 1922 to George and Caroline Sartison on the farm near Scottsburg, Saskatchewan. Violet passed away peacefully on August 25, 2021. Violet was predeceased by her husband Rubin; her parents, George and Caroline Sartison, and her in-laws, George and Christina Hahn; nine brothers: Bill, John, Henry, Chris, Jake, George, Fred, Albert, and Solomon (passed away in infancy), and one sister, Erma, as well as numerous brothers and sisters in-law. She was also predeceased by her sons-in-law, Gary Baynham and Steven Desmond, and daughter-in-law, Donna Hahn. She is survived by her children: Larry (Carol) Hahn, Frances Baynham, Wayne (Pat) Hahn, and Judy Desmond, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and step-brother, Jerry Schwartz, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Violet was the eleventh child born and lost her mother when she was two weeks old. She was then raised by her Aunt Emily and Uncle Fred Schwartz of Scottsburg, Saskatchewan. She attended the Walsh Valley School, completing her grade ten class. Violet married Rubin Hahn on the 10th of October 1940 and farmed near Scottsburg until 1966, at which time they sold the farm and moved to Swift Current, Saskatchewan. In 1985 Violet and Rubin moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta. Violet loved to bake, cook, and play cards, looking forward to game nights. She was full of life and will be sadly missed by family and all who played a role in her life. "Whither thou goest I will go, Whither thou lodgest I will lodge.
