Obituary

It is with broken hearts that the family of Viola (Vi) Hadden announce her passing on November 25, 2022.  She slipped away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.  She was predeceased by her parents George and Lottie Frazer, all 8 siblings, her oldest son Mac Hadden, and her grandson Brad Barton.  She was also predeceased by the love of her life Earl Scoville, who she shared many loving and adventurous years with.  Left to mourn Vi are her children: Luke Hadden (Kim), Kim Hadden, Cindy Telke (Jim), Robert Hadden, Scot Hadden (Fran), Christine Lamb (Dave).  Also two special kids to Vi: Tara Redmond (Terry), and Josh Hadden (Jen).  Vi had many grandkids and great grandkids.  They were always at her place for rice krispie cake, chips, and her famous iced tea.  They all brought her many years of laughter, love, and enjoyment.  She was also a special "Auntie Vi" to many nephews and nieces, and a dear friend to all who knew her.  Vi was born January 3, 1933.  She was the youngest of the Frazer family of 9.  She had a great childhood growing up in Welwyn, Saskatchewan.  She lived across from the rink so winters were spent figure skating which was something she excelled at.  But softball was her passion.  Vi was very competitive and was known for her unbelievable pitchers arm.  That arm helped the Cabri Ladies Softball Team win provincial titles.  She loved all sports, never missing any of her kids activities growing up.  Her house was always full of excitement with kids of all ages stopping in all the time.  Vi would welcome anyone into her home with open arms.  She cared for the elderly in Cabri for many years, and babysat lots of kids in her home.  Vi worked at the Cabri Hotel, cleaned houses, worked for Sandhills Homecare and retired at 65 from the Cabri Hospital.  She was a hard working, selfless woman who spent her life caring for others.  She was well respected, humble, and a friend to many.  Celebration of Life for Vi will be held Saturday, December 3rd at the Cabri Community Hall at 2:00 p.m.  Memorial donations would be appreciated by the family to Cabri Minor Ball at Cabriminorball@gmail.com.  Arrangements entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home.
