Cote, Victor Henri, age 92, of Swift Current, formerly of Cadillac SK, passed away on March 10, 2020 at Swift Current. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2020 from Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church with Fr. Reymundo Asis officiating. The organist was Yolande Gorrill and the psalmist was Peggy Marshall. The readers were Danielle Hategan and Theresa Chamberlain, and the ushers were Bert Legault and Tony Lacelle. The interment service was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The pallbearers were Michael Jahraus, Brian Cote, Adam Jahraus, Jason Cote, Roy Cote and Brandon Loxton. Victor is survived by his spouse, Yvette (nee Roy); children, Vivian Cormack, Allain (Rose), Diane (Bob) Jahraus, Ronald (Lisa); 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; sister, Marcella Tjader (Don); and several nieces and nephews. Victor was predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Adelia Cote, daughter, Carmen Cote; sons-in-law, Robert Scott and Ian Cormack; four brothers, five sisters, several brother and sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews. Victor was born August 4, 1927 at Ponteix SK, and attended school in the Coriander District. He married Yvette Roy on November 26, 1957 at Cadillac SK. Victor started out working as a mechanic, then owned a repair shop, drove school bus, had a backhoe business, and then farmed until his retirement. Victor was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, was on the Parish Council in Cadillac, as well as belonging to several local organizations. Victor loved tinkering in the shop, repairing small motors, as well as hunting, camping, and visiting family.
