She did various jobs such as milking cows, she fed the pigs and chickens, and sold cream to the creamery in Swift Current. She was a CWL president for many years, and received her 40 year pin. Vi enjoyed baking bread and buns, and special holiday sugar cookies, cinnamon buns, and growing a large garden. She sewed her children, and grandchildren, quillows, and jean blankets, patched many pairs of pants, and darned many socks. She enjoyed spending time with family often having grandchildren for sleepovers. Vi learned to drive and obtained her driver’s license after all 4 children graduated from school. This came in handy at harvest time when she drove the grain truck hauling grain, or driving combine. She made each grandchild a photo album.
