Vera Anderson

ANDERSON: Vera age 85 of Waldeck, SK passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. A private family service took place on Tuesday March 16, 2021 from Hillcrest Cemetery in Swift Current with Pastor Greg Kiel officiating and her grandchildren as her pallbearers. Vera is survived by her husband of 56 years Franklin; her daughter Teresa (Steve) Ruf, grandchildren Craig (Karlee) Ruf, great grandchildren Sawyer and Brett Ruf, and grandsons Curtis and Carson Ruf; her son David (Meghan) Anderson and grandchildren Kazennya, Karri-Lee, Conner, Austin, Keyanna and Sydney; her daughter Jane (Jason) Corey; sister Alice Wall; brother Eldon (Carol) Dunham; sister-in-law Edna Dunham; as well as numerous nieces and nephews from both sides of the family. She is predeceased by her parents Ole and Hulda Dunham; her parents-in-law John and Olga Anderson; as well as many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law. Vera was born in Swift Current and attended Spenst Country and Leonard Country Schools. She was united in marriage on August 15, 1964 to Franklin Anderson at St. Olaf United Church. She was a farm wife who took care of her chickens, milked cows, checked on her horses and range cattle, and drove the grain truck or tractor. She loved the farm life. She loved to cook and a good cup of coffee. Vera loved to drive around with Franklin to check the crops and cattle or drive around the country side. The used to pick a spot to drive to and have lunch there. In her later years they loved to go to rodeo's, jackpot barrel racing, watching Roxy do agility and David's ability to fix anything around the house. She loved all her grandchildren: Craig (Karlee), Curtis, Carson, Kazennya, Kerri-Lee, Conner, Austin, Keyanna and Sydney as well as her great grandson Sawyer Ruf and great granddaughter Brett Jean.
