Velma McIver

In Loving Memory: Velma McIver passed away peacefully on February 24, 2021, at the age of 96 years. Velma was born near Abbey, Saskatchewan to Henry and Edith Rewerts. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, John. Velma enjoyed farming and teaching. Her hobbies included playing Scrabble and card games with family and friends. Velma will be fondly remembered by her son, Don; daughter, Gail (Fred); grandchildren, Erin (Cam), John (Lanny), Chris and Kate (Marc), 5 great-grandchildren and special friends Jean, Della and Jerry. A private family gathering was held at Velma's gravesite, as she did not want a formal funeral service. The family wishes to send a very special thank you to the staff at Cypress House for their care and compassion. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
