It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thorne Knapp of Pennant, Saskatchewan on June 15, 2020 at the age of 71. Thorne is survived by his daughter, Kendra Anderson, grandsons Morgan Chalifoux & Wyatt Chalifoux and his sister Shannon (Ron) Moser and many nieces and nephews. Thorne was predeceased by his parents Harvey & Olive Knapp, and his brothers Kirk Knapp of Medicine Hat, Wally Faiers and Bob Faiers of Cranbrook, BC.
Thorne worked on drilling rigs as a young man, then at Redi Enterprises in Medicine Hat, the Calgary Stampede in Calgary and later for Bye's Trucking in Pennant SK before retiring in 2017.
Thorne will be remembered as an animal lover, who especially loved his birds. Also as a mechanic with talent and passion for refurbishing motors and vehicles of all kinds. He was completely at home on his motorcycle, having travelled much of the U.S. and western Canada by bike. He laughed easily and often and enjoyed the company of his friends, family and neighbours.
Thorne will be interred at Pennant SK by private service at a time in the future. Condolences can be sent to his family at Warren's Funeral Home, www.warrensfuneralhome.com and your expression of sympathy can be made on the family tribute wall.
