Theresa Getz

Getz - Theresa of Swift Current, Saskatchewan passed away on May 31, 2022 at the age of 85.  A graveside service was held at Lemsford Cemetery on June 6th with Father Prince officiating.  Honorary Urnbearers are all who shared in Theresa's life.  Theresa is survived by her 7 children: John (Brenda) Getz of Abbotsford, British Columbia, Rosemarie (Norman) Sutherland of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Kathy Getz of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Sharon (Wes) Adrian of Cabri, Saskatchewan, Gerald Getz of Sceptre, Saskatchewan, William (Michelle Anderson) Getz of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, and Peggy Schafer of Swift Current, Saskatchewan.  As well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her loving husband Harry Getz, granddaughter Amber Getz, and great grandson Ryker Bourne.  Theresa had a strong religious faith.  She was a CWL member for well over 25 years.  She loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed playing bingo at her house every Saturday where we would meet and gather for good food and conversation.  Her favorite T.V. shows included: Steve Harvey, Chicago Fire, and American Idol.  She looked forward to her "check-in" phone call every night from sister-in-law Rosemarie and Eugene Schmaltz (brother).  "To the world you are our mother.  To our family you are the world" - till we meet again.  Donations in memory of Theresa can be made to the Heart and Stroke Association, Alzheimer's Society, or Diabetic Association.  Arrangements entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home.
