Andreas, Ted: It is with great sadness that we said Good Bye to our son Ted Andreas on June 28, 2020 at 4:15 pm at the Meadows. Now he is free of all the pain he endured for 50 years. Ted was born on March 31, 1970 at the Swift Current Union Hospital. From day one he never knew a day without pain. He took every day in stride-happy and alive. He had 63 major operation in Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg and Swift Current. Ted has a spinal cord injury when he was born. He never really walked and was on crutches, braces, casts and then a wheelchair. Ted had a gifted memory. He met people far and wide and remembered everyone's name. Ted graduated from the Comp High School in Swift Current and worked at the Abilities Centre for 25 years and the Hearing Centre. Ted became a member of the Knights of Columbus in 1990. He took his faith very serious. He also was a member of the Wheelchair Hockey League. Ted loved his Saskatchewan Rough Riders and Swift Current Broncos. Ted liked playing crib and played many games. Wonder if they play crib in Heaven. Ted help his parents clean Saskatoon berries every year for three week. It was his holiday, pride and joy to do that. Ted was able to see his parents, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews (except Jerrod and Morgan) who are living in New Brunswick. Ted leaves behind his parents Clem and Irene Andreas; sister Donna (Allan) Haggart; brother Jerry (Kathy) Andreas and their children Jerrod and Morgan Andreas, brother Chris (Deanne) Andreas; nephews, Edward (Shelbi) Haggart, Colin (Angela) Haggart; great nieces and nephews Kiya, Tommy, Heild, Jerrod (Margan) Andreas, Ty and Savannah Andreas; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents Alex and Amelia Hauk, Martin and Betty Andreas and step grandmothers Betty Andreas and Victoria Boyer. Two things Ted told his mother before he died were, "Mom I made it to 50" and "Mom look after yourself". He always consider others before himself. Ted had a very good friend, Deacon David Hagel, who helped Ted with all his problems and health issues during the last two or three years of Ted's life. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In Ted's memory, memorial donation may be made to Stars Air Ambulance. Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
