Surraja Sokolovic

Sokolovic: Surraja Lilly (Nee: Kieselbach), age 91, of Ernfold, Sk, passed away July 27, 2020 at the Herbert Hospital. The Funeral Service was held at 2:00 pm, July 30, 2020 at the Ernfold Cemetery with Ike Sokolovic officiating. The pallbearers were Ike Sokolovic, Helmut Sokolovic, Doug Mills, Ron Woods, Jamie Keeping and Terry Keeping. The Honorary Pallbearers were Mustafa Agushi, Jay Agushi, Brad Connolly, Stephen Bjarnarson and Charlie Koudelka. Surraja is survived by her children; Sophia (Mustafa)  Agushi, three grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; Ike (Meta) Sokolovic, 6 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; Helmut Sokolovic, 1 grandchild, 2 great grandchildren; Heidy (Sandy) 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren; Haj (Doug) Mills, 1 grandchild; one sister Herta in Germany and numerous relatives in various countries. She was predeceased by her parents Max and Marie; her husband Murat (Tom); one child Rosita; brothers Werner, Helmut, and Rheinholt; sisters Elenore and Hildegarde. Surraja was born in Obessherninken, Germany on February 15, 1929. She attended school at Kries Elchniederung and in her younger years she worked as a kindergarten teacher. She was a member of the Ernfold Curling Club and the Pottery Club. Surraja enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, painting, reading, artwork, and craftwork. She enjoyed the history of the British Royal families and knew it all. Surraja fully loved life, enjoyed being around people and making new friends. She loved listening to music, her favorite being Kid Rock, and even went to see him in concert in Calgary at the young age of 81. Surraja was Ernfold's oldest resident. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends.
