Obituary

Breaker, Breaker 19 Stanley Wade Mullenix, born August 8, 1948, made his final run on July 16, 2023. He was born the tiniest surviving baby in the Swift Current Hospital at that time. He went on to become an unstoppable force. Schooling wasn't for him and after reaching grade nine, he closed the books for the last time after two weeks. He started working the next day and never stopped. He worked on the Sask Landing Ferry, built fences and planted trees at the Sask Landing park. He pushed and hauled cattle, delivered freight in Swift Current for 22 years, then started long hauling to the United States and back. His final employment was delivering equipment until his well deserved retirement. He leaves behind his wife Shirley, a son Jeff (Karen), a daughter Jeanie (Cam) and a daughter Joanie, plus his 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Stan worked hard and fast was never fast enough. His family came first and he worked hard to provide them with the best that he could. Stan's biggest joy after his family was the casino. He was always chasing the big one. I am sure they will miss him too as their income just got smaller. CQ CQ CQ DX, 166 on the side. To all you out there listening, this is the final call from Sierra Tango Alpha November. 166 Saskatchewan, Canada 10-4...Over and Out.
