It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grand-father Simon Micheal Williams on August 26, 2022 at the age of 85. He is pre-deceased by his parents Ed and Arline (Maddigan) Williams and brother Ralph.
He is survived by his loving wife Donna Spaerman, son Scott (Diane) Williams, daughter Sandra Williams; Grandchildren Kaylyn (Chris), Michael (Seleena) and Janessa (Devon); Great-grandchildren Ella, Kallie, Caleb, Vera, Cy and Lanae. Simon was born in Palmer, SK on September 22,1936. He left school in grade 8 and went to work on the farm with his grandfather. At the age of 18 he joined the US Air Force and spent his 19th birthday in Hawaii. Doing two tours in Korea. When he returned to Canada he found work building the South Saskatchewan Dam. When that project was finished he convoyed the equipment through Edmonton (causing quite a stir) on his way to Grimshaw AB, to start building the railbed to High Level AB.
He finally settled down working for Pioneer Grain for 32 years and raising his family. He lived his life well and to the fullest.
