With very heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Scott Fortney at the age of 62. Scott was born on November 10, 1960. He was predeceased by his dad Gerald (Jerry), mom Sonja, and brother John. Scott is survived by his daughter Chanda, grandson Camden; siblings: Steven, Anthony, Grace, and Melanie. Scott grew up on the farm and farmed alongside his dad for many years. He then worked in many trade areas before settling down in Swift Current to be closer to his mom. He started working at National Spar and the friendships to come out of there have been unbreakable. Scott then started working at Westman Steel and has been a very dedicated, hardworking part of that company for the last 20 years. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed getting together with his friends. He was always working on so many vehicles. Each getting their own silly name and back story, and he would have to start something on fire before it would start. Scott faithfully visited his mom every Sunday until her passing, and he looked forward to spending time with family and friends, and sharing advice with his daughter. Scott always had the ability to make anyone laugh no matter what he was doing. He will be deeply missed by all.
