Schriver Helen Obituary

Schriver-Helen Bernice (nee Schwager), at 80 years passed peacefully on Saturday June 5, 2021. Cherishing her memory are her surviving children, Stuart, David (Sandra), and grandson Ethan. She was predeceased by her husband, Hartford Schriver in 2010, her parents, Bruce, and Queenie, 2 sisters, Edith, and Dorothy, and 3 brothers, Vern, Bob, and Norman. She leaves her sister Audrey, and brother Alan to mourn her passing. Helen was born July 6th in Weldon Saskatchewan. She was very athletic, and enjoyed, and excelled at school. After school, she went to teachers college, and after graduation got a job teaching in Webb school where she met her future husband Hartford. Helen bowled yearly with a great group of friends in the Swift Current bowling league, and lent her hand, and volunteered at many various functions. Mom enjoyed traveling in her later years, going to Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, and visiting her son twice in Dubai. Highlight of her visits to Dubai were being able to watch the Pro Golfers play in the Dubai Desert Classic, riding camels, and enjoying the warm winter weather around, and in the pool. Most of all, she loved people, and had a very long list of friends too numerous to mention here. She lived for many years in Morinville, (north of Edmonton), and in Edmonton itself, before retiring to the farm in Saskatchewan just north of Webb. She loved gardening, was a fine sewer, good cook, and excellent baker. She was almost unbeatable in her favorite game, scrabble, and loved to play cards. A family memorial service to be held at the Webbview Cemetery, near Webb Sask. Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
