Ruth Bulbeck

Bulbeck, Ruth (Buhr), age 96, passed away peacefully at The Meadows, on March 29, 2023.  She was predeceased by her husband Harry in 2002; brother Leslie, and sister Phyllis.  She is survived by her son Ray (Karen); her granddaughter Angela; great-granddaughter Sydney; grandson Scott (Jordan); great-grandson Theodore; and her son Doug. She is also survived by her one brother Allan.  Ruth was born on December 9, 1926, on a farm near Waldheim, Saskatchewan to John and Marie Buhr.  She received her education at Waldheim School, then attended Normal School in Saskatoon.  She came to teach in Fernbank School in the Neidpath area.  It was there that she met Harry Bulbeck and they were married in 1951.  They lived in Waldeck for a few years and then moved back to Neidpath.  Later she went back to teaching in some of the local schools -- Hallonquist, Rosenhof, and Neidpath.  Ruth enjoyed playing piano, reading, and gardening.  The family wishes to thank the staff at The Meadows and the Leader Long Term Care facility for the care and support they gave to her in her final months.  A private family gathering will be held to celebrate her life.  Donations in Ruth's memory may be made to the charity of the donors choice.  Arrangements entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home, for further information please call 1-306-773-8831 or 1-800-267-6606, or visit our website at www.warrensfuneralhome.com and express your sympathy to family members on the tribute wall.
