Rosalie Fay Bignell, age 65, of Swift Current, passed away April 4, 2021 at Cloverhouse. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on April 8, 2021, from Memory Gardens Cemetery with Arnold Weston officiating. The eulogist and readers were Arnold Weston, Amanda Weston and Kelly Bignell. The Honorary Pallbearers were her grandchildren: Keara Bignell, Berney Weston, Mataiya Bignell, Kenley Bignell, Milly Weston, Mason Bignell, McKenna Bignell, Bradley Bignell, Oliver Bignell and Moxon Bignell. Rosalie is survived by her spouse, Merv Bignell; her son, Trevor Bignell; her daughter, Amanda Weston; her son, Patrick Bignell; her son, Kelly Bignell; 10 grandchildren; her sister, Verna Hassen; her brother, Rod Oman; her sister, Debbie Oman; and sister, Brenda Draper. Rosalie was predeceased by her father, William Oman, mother, Betty Oman, and brother, John Oman. Rosalie was born on June 12, 1955 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She attended school at Oman School in Swift Current. On August 28, 1982, she married Merv Bignell in Brooks, Alberta. Rosalie enjoyed her life as a home maker, and was interested in painting crafts, crossword puzzles, card games, bowling, collecting movies, and above all, spending time with her family and friends. Rosalie was a animal lover. She enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren. She appreciated her telephone conversations with her friends and family from afar. Mom loved her fur babies and now they will be together again. Donations in Mom's memory may be made to the STARS Ambulance and to the Swift Current S.P.C.A.
