Ron Sauder

SAUDER: Ronald age 88, passed away on May 10, 2019 at the Meadows in Swift Current, SK. Ron was born on October 16, 1930 to Arnold and Leah Sauder near Hodgeville, SK. Ron married the love of his life, Linda Schmidt on October 25, 1956. They raised four children on their grain farm North of Hodgeville. Ron enjoyed winters curling with his brother Arnold and brothers-in-law George Schmidt and Wilmer Senft, and many happy summer hours on the golf course. Ron and Linda loved to golf, dance, were members of the Good Sam's Camping Club and spent many sunny winters in Arizona. They retired to Swift Current in 1999. He loved to spend time with friends, family, and especially grand- and great- grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Linda Sauder; children Brenda Sauder (Garry Melvin), Karen Sauder (David Buck), Connie Sauder (Carlos Monreal), and David Sauder (Jane Tang); grandchildren Andrea Peters, Dean Schaitel, Kevin Buck, Bryan Buck, Gilda Monreal, Elisa Monreal-Revitte, Ronald Sauder, Benjamin Sauder and Alice Sauder; great grandchildren Ethan and Ellie Peters, Mila and Piper Schaitel, and Violeta Monreal-Revitte; sister Loretta Rosvold (Gerald); and sisters-in-law Lillie Senft, Alice Leis and Linda Schmidt. He is predeceased by his parents Arnold and Leah Sauder; brother Arnold Sauder; sister-in-law Edna Sauder; and brothers-in-law Wilmer Senft, Arnie Leis and George Schmidt. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 from St. Olaf Lutheran Church With Pastor Greg Kiel officiating. The pianist was Arlie Neufeld and readings by Kevin Buck.
