Roger Rouillet passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 14, 2023, at the Willow Creek Manor. Roger was born April 6, 1928 in Ponteix, SK. Roger married Helene on July 6, 1960 and lived their life on the Rouillet Family Farm where they raised their family. Dad will be missed by his 3 children: Mike (Lu Ann), Denis (Sandi), Monique (Keith); Grandchildren: Chrystal (Sean), Kristina, Garry (Rebecca), Nikki (Kevin), Roger and Sophie; Great Grandchildren: Riley, Knexin, Lukas & Dillon; and many nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his loving wife in January 2021, and predeceased by his parents and his siblings. Dad was born and raised on the family Farm. In 1980, he built a new home on the farm for his wife where they lived till 2019, where health issues had them move to Swift Current, SK. Dad was a hard worker, he devoted many hours to keeping their yard and garden looking good.. If something had to be fixed or a problem solved Dad would find a way to tackle it, whether he read a 'how to' book or took a night class he always got the job done. He was an amazing wood worker making kitchen cabinets to furniture. Dad worked from a very early age, helping local farmers, running combines and taking a job custom combining through the United States (Road Trip). He also worked for PFRA building Gouverneur Dam driving a water truck and doing whatever was needed. Dad always said when he retired he was going to sleep and watch TV. He finally retired at the age of 80. There will be a graveside service and celebration of life for Dad and Mom in the spring.
