Robert "Bob" Walls

Walls, Robert (Bob) James, age 82 of Aneroid, Saskatchewan, passed away on March 30, 2026 at Foyer St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Ponteix, Saskatchewan.

The celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2026 from the Aneroid Centennial Hall. The eulogy will be read by David Cloutier.

A private internment will take place at the Aneroid Cemetery.

Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years Ferne; son Rick (Susan); daughter Lorrie (David Cloutier), and grandsons Ryan (Sally) and Tyler. Brothers; Elwood and Tom (Susan), sisters-in-law; Jean (Glen) Thompson), Lorna (Butch) Dawson and Eileen Walls. Brother-in-law; Ron (Joanne) Corman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Kelso and Minnie, and brother David. Father-in-law Harold (Bub), mother-in-law Ethel, sisters–in-law Marlene, Wendy, and Linda.  Brothers-in-law Fred and Jim.

Bob was born on April 13, 1943 in Ponteix, Saskatchewan and attended school in Aneroid and then Kincaid

He married Ferne Corman on July 18, 1964 in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan.

Dad worked in Regina at various jobs including Over Head Doors, Dominion Steel and Ipsco, all while helping his Grandfather Fletcher, farm at Aneroid. 

In 1969 the family moved to the Walls Homestead and took up farming full-time. Dad realized his childhood dreams of flying which then led to many years of aerial application. He continued to grow his farm operation, seeding many different varieties of crops and was a pioneer in starting no till crop rotation.  

In 2011 Dad and Mom started their yearly winter trips to Apache Junction where Dad was an avid outdoor shuffleboard player - winning many dimes. He also loved his many adventurous treks out to the Arizona desert with Dale and their ATV’s. Taking along many excited passengers for a day of fun. Bob also enjoyed flying, snowmobiling, and quadding in the desert in Arizona.

In 2022 Dad’s health started to go south without him. He continued to farm until 2024 when his health struggles forced him into retirement. He spent his final days at Foyer St. Joseph in Ponteix, where he received stellar care from the staff and health care providers.
