Robert Ducan

Robert A. Ducan, age 69 of Val Marie, SK, passed away on January 4, 2019 in Swift Current.

He is survived by his wife, Mette, his two children, Kristine (her husband Matt) and Adam, a grandson, a sister, a brother, as well as his niece and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.

Robert loved to travel. On a road trip with his son in 1996 they discovered the old convent in Val Marie. He restored the building, and in 1997 the family moved to Val Marie, where they opened and continue to operate The Convent Inn. Robert served as Mayor of Val Marie for several years.

Some of Robert's hobbies included restorations (both cars and buildings), silversmithing, woodworking and gardening. He made beautiful jewellery and furniture, and restored many classic cars - including three 1966 Ford Mustangs - as well as several buildings.

Robert will be greatly missed by his family and friends. With love from us all.
