BASKERVILLE: Philip Robert "Bob" formerly of Hazlet, SK passed away on August 26, 2022 at The Meadows in Swift Current, SK at the age of 98 years. He was born on the Baskerville Family Homestead on November 18, 1923 and attended Trent School. Bob worked for different farmers in the area and during the winters in the bush in Ontario and the Nickel Smelter in Sudbury, ON. Bob took over the family homestead in the 1950's. Bob married Kathleen Patricia "Pat" Robertson (nee Anderson) on January 4, 1957 at the First United Church in Swift Current. They had a son Garry on December 27, 1957 and a daughter Jeanine on September 30, 1961. Bob and Pat moved to Hazlet in December of 1982 but continued to farm until 1994. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, curling, playing cards and going to California in the winters. Bob moved to Riverview Estates in November 2016 and then the Prairie Health Care Center in February 2022, and finally The Meadows on July 27, 2022. Bob is survived by his son Garry Baskerville; his daughter Jeanine Maier; grandchildren Tyler (Leeza) Maier, Kyle (Alyssa Stenvig) Maier, Ursula Robertson and family and Rebecca Boyde and family; great granddaughter Eve Maier; sister Winnie Madden; sister-in-law Peggy Anderson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his wife Pat; stepson Mason Robertson; parents Philip and Winnifred Baskerville; parents-in-law Alexander and Martha Anderson; brothers Tott, Edward and Sam; sisters Amy Doyle and Ruby Johnson; brothers-in-law Loren Doyle, Carl Johnson, Stuart Madden, Max Anderson, Bill Anderson, Jim Anderson, Ivan Anderson, Art Anderson, Chic Easterbrook and Maurice Akre; sisters-in-law Mary Baskerville, Frances Baskerville, Myrtle Anderson, Kay Anderson, Edna Anderson, Nora Anderson, Mary Jane Anderson, Ruth Akre and Mabel Esterbrook. The funeral service was held on Friday, September 2, 2022 from the Hazlet Community Hall with Pastor John Schaufele officiating. The pianist was Brian Anderson, the ushers were Loren Anderson and Rylan Anderson and the pallbearers were Tyler Maier, Kyle Maier, Neil Anderson, Skyler Anderson, Kirk Anderson and Adam Anderson.
