Obituary

Philip Emile Gobeil age 86 of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, passed away on June 29, 2023 at Willow Creek Manor.

The funeral service was held at 10:30 am, Wednesday July 5, 2023 from Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church with Reverend Father Thomas Mutavanatta officiating. 


Philip is survived by his brothers Moise (Moe) and Henry Gobeil and sister Lea Pelletier, nieces and nephews. Philip was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Emma Gobeil, brothers Gerard and Jean-Baptiste Gobeil, sisters Marie Elias and Irene Plante. Philip was born on January 6, 1937 near Cadillac, Saskatchewan. He attended school at Joan of Arc Academy ( St. Pat's) in Swift Current. He was employed at Vic's Autobody in Swift Current, Univision in Biggar, and Barber Motors in Weyburn. Philip enjoyed inventing and manufacturing for his own needs, helping family , Country music, and birdwatching. In memory of Philip donations can be made to the charity of a donor's choice.
