Peter Hubert

Peter Hubert passed away at 74 years old on January 29, 2026, at the Cypress Regional Hospital.  Peter was born in Leader, Saskatchewan on July 17, 1951, to Elenora and Michael Hubert.

Peter attended school at Lancer, Swift Current, St. Thomas College, North Battleford, and NAIT in Edmonton.  Peter married Judi Nieman in Lake Lenore, Saskatchewan on July 7, 1972.  Peter worked briefly in Edmonton before returning to Abbey to take over the family farm.

Peter had a few special interests.  He enjoyed working on computers, he wrote his own programs, he spent many hours at his desktop, changing/perfecting things.  He also enjoyed the sports cars he owned, starting with the Dodge super bee and ending with the two Camaro’s. 

Peter also enjoyed travelling to different countries and experiencing the different cultures, histories and museums but his favorite holiday later on was on a nice beach with a good book and good restaurants to enjoy later.

Peter is survived by his wife Judi, her brother, sisters and their families, and many cousins.  He is predeceased by his parents Elenora and Michael Hubert.
