Peter resided at Riverview Estates. He was born in 1931 to Gertrude and Abram Heinrichs, who resided on a large farm near the town of McMahon, Saskatchewan. Peter grew up on the farm with a large family of 5 brothers and 6 sisters.
Peter passed away on December 22, 2024 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Peter was predeceased by his loving wife Louise Betty Heinrichs.
He was a very gifted person. His gift of music took off at an early age, when he received a guitar for Christmas. As an adult, the band he played in was known far and wide, playing at many community events. Playing for family singing events was always such a joy for him.
Later in life, if you ever visited Peter and Betty, he would pick up his guitar at times and play some of the music he always loved.
He was artistically gifted. His drawings were always very detailed. Horses, which he dearly loved and owned, were often the subject of his drawings.
Gardening requiring many skills from such a big selection, to watering systems, was a beloved hobby for Peter. The back yard was always ablaze with the beauty of flowers. His vegetable garden, simply put, was abundance! When harvest came, this abundance was loaded on his truck and delivered to friends and the needy.
So generous and kind, he was loved so much by family, friends, and young people. His love for his mom and dad, and the farm, knew no bounds when it came to making life easier with improvements and innovations. His help to family members was always there. His nieces and nephews returned the love he always showered on them to his dying days.
Thank you Lord, for the wondrous gift of Peter.
Our thank you’s go to the many staff at Riverview Estates, to Eleanor and her caring team, also to Kathie for introducing Susanna and Paige when Peter required extra care. Susanna and Paige, you brought comfort, peace, joy, and unconditional love in Peter’s final months.
