McCloud, Pearl Rosella age 89 years of age passed away on October 20, 2022 at Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current. The graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pastor Travis Heide will be conducting the graveside service. Pearl is survived by her niece Debbie (Jim) Lavhey of Medicine Hat, nephew Darrell (Darlene) Bourne of Calgary, Sandra (Garrett) Mantie, Debbie (Howie) Hodges of Red Deer, and Louise (Dino) Cicci of Enbrun, Ontario, and many great nieces and nephews. Pearl is survived by caregivers Carol and Glen Miller, Dianne Knelsen, and Lynda and Myron Furseth, and god-child Crystal Harvey (Gates) of Sparwood, BC. She was predeceased by her parents Owen and Verda Vaningan, brother William (Iris) Vaningan, and sister Betty (Chuck) Bourne. Pearl was born July 7, 1933 in Prelate, SK where she also attended school. She was united in marriage to Warren McCloud in Calgary, AB on August 7, 1963, then resided in Swift Current. Pearl was a homemaker and child care giver for the Jim and Lola Watson, and Virgil and Aileen Gates children. In Pearl's young years she enjoyed bowling, old time dancing, and listening to gospel songs and old country music. Friends and relatives enjoyed her homemade baking especially her cinnamon buns. Pearl will be sadly missed by relatives and close friends and acquaintances at Pioneer Manor where she resided. A special thank you to the Doctors and nurses at Cypress Regional Hospital who provided care. Memorial donations in her memory can be made to the Salvation Army or Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by the family.
