Patricia "Pat" Kelly

Marie Patricia "Pat" Kelly:  Our dear sister and aunt, Pat Kelly, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the Cypress Regional Hospital at the age of 89.  Pat is survived by her sister Joyce Klassen of Calgary, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary Kelly; her sister Elma Zuck; and her five brothers Wilmer, Alvin, Ralph, Howard and Carl.  She also leaves many other family members and friends who will mourn her loss.  Born May 21, 1931 in Swift Current, Pat grew up enjoying all the simple pleasures brought about by living with her large, close family.  Pat had a distinguished 38-year career at the Swift Current Bank of Montreal.  Pat served her community throughout her adult life.  Among other things she was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Catholic Women's League.  Frontier Days was one of her favourite events and Pat served some time as the President and also worked as the bookkeeper.  She was an avid curler and golfer, and a long-time, loyal, season ticket holder for the Swift Current Broncos.  As far as Pat was concerned, there was no place better than Swift Current.  Pat was an independent spirit who traveled, worked hard, had a passion for sports and loved spending time with her large, extended family.  Her humour and quick wit will be sorely missed.  She enjoyed her career, fashion, crafts, cooking and everything about being Irish.  At Christmas we always received a dress-box full of sweets, including the very coveted "Auntie Pat's Fudge."  We will all sadly miss her.  The family will hold a small, private funeral mass at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020 at Christ The Redeemer Parish.  Given the current Provincial guidelines for gatherings, there will be no memorial.  Pat will be interred alongside her parents and brother Howard Kelly at Mount Pleasant Burial Park in Swift Current.  In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to your favourite charity.  Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
