Pat Ellis

Madeline Patricia Ellis, age 101, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the Meadows in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, surrounded by her family. 

Pat was born on March 17, 1924, in Brock, Saskatchewan to Samuel and Gertrude Morris.  Pat attended school at Eston, Saskatchewan, then later on Pat attended business school in Saskatoon.  Pat married Ronald Ellis at the farm in Brock on September 20, 1946. 

Pat starting working for an accounting firm called Dun and Brad in Saskatoon, right out of school.  She went on to work for the Credit Bureau in Swift Current, Fielding McLean in Eston, Fields Department Store, and Thompson Auto. Pat was part of the Legion Auxiliary and the Elmwood Golf Course, until she was 88 years old.  Pat enjoyed golf, crafts, jigsaw puzzles, sewing (mostly girls’ clothing), square dancing and line dancing.  She was a true Irish woman; she loved her family very much.

Pat is survived by 4 daughters; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren and 1 on the way.  She was predeceased by her husband Ronald; 1 son-in-law; 1 great grandson; and her parents.

The funeral service for Mrs. Pat Ellis will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church with Pastor Patti Sherk officiating.
