Mona met and married Scott Campbell on June 30, 1978 in Swift Current.  She held several jobs over those years, some of them were: Sally’s Dress Shop, the Hodgeville Co-op, and the local store in Beechy. Being married to a banker took her to many towns, they lived in Hodgeville, Beechy, Fairview AB, Rocky Mountain House AB, and after retiring from Apache Canada in 2007 they moved back to Hodgeville .While living in Rocky Mountain House both Mona and Scott were proud supporters and active volunteers with Ducks Unlimited.  Mona was also a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion ..Mona loved her yard, garden and flowers.  She took great pride in a beautiful yard, and loved to share the fruits of her garden.  Mona had a true love for Spruce Meadows Equestrian Centre, attending almost every year since 1986.After being introduced to sporting clays, they spent many weekends on the course with the shotgun in hand, winning a few competitions along the way.  Mona has loved dogs since she was a young child, they were always a huge part of her life, and they all stole her heart. Travel has always been a big part of her life, her parents took the children on many road trips, camping all over Canada and the US.  This started her love of travel.  Later she’d go on bus trips with her mom, there have been trips to Scotland, Argentina and many, many trips to Mexico. She loved the palm trees, the sun and the ocean breeze!  The last several years the winters were spent at their second home at the Davant Ranch in Blessing Texas.  She really cherished her time there with the family, and enjoyed attending the St. John’s Episcopal Church. One of the things that warmed her heart the most was having the grandchildren visit.  She would spend time planning and preparing for their weeklong, or summer long stays. Nana loved to bake and cook, with the kids, she’d take them to the pool, shopping and ice cream.  She enjoyed that time immensely!  Mona loved having company, she would find out what a person liked and always had their favorite’s prepared for them.
