Maureen Cave

CAVE, Maureen Elizabeth born on April 30, 1930, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the age of 89 with her family by her side.  She was predeceased by her husband Bill, daughter Nancy Ann, great-granddaughter Sydney, and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.  Maureen is lovingly remembered by her children Gordon J. (Joanne), Jackie, Joanne; grandchildren:  Michael (Melanie), Gordon W., Crystal (Scott), Kenneth (Aimee), Amanda (Ryan); great-grandchildren:  Hali (Tim), Nelson, Hunter, Baillie-Ann, Porter, Samantha, Amelia; great-great-grandson Harrison; sister Norah, sister-in-law Sheila, and many nieces and nephews.  Maureen was born and raised in Swift Current, SK.  She attended Elmwood and Central schools, and graduated from SCCI.  She met Bill in 1944 and they were married in 1949.  Together they built their home where they raised four children.  She took great pride in her yard and looked forward to tending her flower beds.  Maureen was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for more than 50 years, holding various positions, and worked at the Co-op Bakery for over 20 years, making many lifelong friendships along the way.  A particular joy for her was gathering friends and family for the holidays.  She loved dogs and they played an important part throughout her long life.  Maureen will be remember for her sense of humor, kindness, and generosity.  A service will be held at a later date.  Donation's in memory of Maureen may be made to Swift Current S.P.C.A., Box 1163, Swift Current, SK  S9H 3X3.  Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
