Mary Louise Gedny
July 13, 1951 to June 29, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mary Louise Gedny of Gull Lake, Saskatchewan on June 29, 2023 at the age of 71 years. Mary Lou was born on July 13, 1951 to Cletus and Isabelle Ruetz. Mary Lou was born, raised and lived in the Gull Lake area for most of her life. She married Alan Gedny on July 15, 1972. She enjoyed being a teacher for many years. She also enjoyed camping, gardening and canning, but what she loved most was sharing those things she loved with her family, friends and most especially her grandchildren.
Mary Lou will be lovingly remembered by her husband Alan; her mother Isabelle; children Brent (Trina), Trevor (Pam); and Rebecca; her grandchildren Chase, Torrance, Lexi, Dylan, Logan, Blaize and Maverick; her brothers and sisters; Beverly (Laurent), Leonard (Cathy), Margery (Terry), Greg (Joanne), Sandra (Brent), Lois (Warren), Kevin (Racquel), Elaine, and Marleen (Dwayne); her sister in laws Joyce, and Tracey (Dwight); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mary Lou was predeceased by her grandparents Anthony and Apolonia Ruetz, Aaron and Marie Girodat; her father Cletus Ruetz; her parents-in-law Bob and Kay Gedny; her brother-in-law Shane Gedny; sister-in-law Davida Gedny; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of other tributes, the family asks that donations be made to the Gull Lake Kinettes by mail (Box 617, Gull Lake, SK. SON 1A0). A memorial service was held on July 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan with Deacon Dave Hagel officiating.
