Mary Reddekopp Obituary

Mary Reddekopp, 61, passed away April 6th, 2019 at Regina General Hospital, with her family by her side.

Mary was born on February 1st, 1958, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. She married Calvin Reddekopp in 1976, and they shared 43 wonderful years together.  They enjoyed going camping, sitting around bonfires, travelling, Sunday brunches, coffee dates, and playing games with friends.  Mary and Calvin also appreciated their time as members of the Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Swift Current.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Calvin Reddekopp, two children, Heather Reddekopp and Nick (Jamie) Reddekopp, sisters Maureen Hargreaves and Elaine (Wayne) Gerber, brother Bill (Catherine) Jeffery, brother-in-law, Peter Davies, mother-in-law Laura Reddekopp, sister-in-law Brenda (Bill) Martens and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father and mother, Maurice and Helen Jeffery, father-in-law, George Reddekopp, sister, Judy Davies, and brother-in-law, Charles Hargreaves.

Mary always enjoyed time spent with Heather and Nick, who were very precious to her.  She selflessly left her career and chose to run a day home so she could build many cherished memories with her children.  After they graduated, Mary worked as a General Merchandise Supervisor for the Real Canadian Wholesale Club.  For the past 3 years, she faced several medical challenges and spent time resting at home and acquiring new hobbies.  Mary was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

The Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm from First United Church, Swift Current, Sk. with Reverend Annette Taylor officiating. In Mary’s memory, donations may be made to the Mary Reddekopp Memorial Fund.
