Marguerite was born March 10, 1925 and grew up on a farm five miles north of Pontiex She attended Pontiex school until the age of 15 and then stayed home to help on the farm. She married Antonio Monette on November 29, 1950 and they settled on a farm in the Lac Pelletier area on the #4 Highway where they raised their three children, Marguerite loved gardening, caring for the cattle, horseback riding, baking and being active in her church and community. When her husband passed away in 1978, Marguerite continued to stay on the farm until 1982 when she moved to Swift Current. She joined the Catholic Women's League, got her driver's license, made many new friends and began travelling. She went on tours to France, Rome, Branson, Disneyland and the USA Passion Play. She especially enjoyed watching all her grandchildren's sport and music events and taking them to rodeos. In 2003, Marguerite moved to Riverview Village Estates. The excellent staff, the residents and all the activities made this season of her life most enjoyable. Marguerite's family meant EVERYTHING to her - she delighted in their visits, phone calls and opportunities to share her tarts, flapper pies and homemade bread. Her daily prayers for her family were a source of strength, protection and inspiration for all of us. We will always be thankful for her legacy of healthy living, faith, honest and good work ethic.
