Hardement, Margaret - Mom passed away May 20, 2020 at The Meadows in Swift Current. She was born on the family farm in the Broncho district (NW 28-5-11 West of the 3rd) on April 19, 1932 to David and Gertrude Owen. She was the youngest of nine children. She went to Broncho School until grade 10 when she decided to go to work. She was a telephone operator in Ponteix where she had many happy memories, then she worked in Weyburn for a while until she came home to Aneroid to marry Robert W. Hardement on November 21, 1951. Margaret and Bob had four children which included twin boys Harold and Garold, Lorne, and Janice. Mom enjoyed many years on the farm with planting big gardens, freezing and canning and going to ball tournaments and picnics. She enjoyed all the animals and every one of them were pets. She was exceptional at writing poems and drawing. She often drew a horse or a silhouette of a ladies head while she talked on the phone. She loved to play guitar, sing and dance. Margaret was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on March 26, 1971 in Moose Jaw. She enjoyed talking to others about God's Kingdom and the blessings it will bring in the near future. She looked forward to the time when she would see her family and friends in the resurrection. Due to failing health Mom went to Ponteix Foyer in July 2018 then back to Swift Current in the fall. She was predeceased by her husband Bob in 2009; parents David and Gertrude Owen; four brothers John, Charlie, Leslie and Percy (Phyllis); four sisters Annie (Tom), Amy (Harold), Alice, Dorothy (Alcide); and second husband Marvin Remple.
