Lynda Catherine Marshall, devoted mother, wife, and friend to many, passed away September 13, 2022 at age 75 after a fall in her home. She is survived by her sons Robin and Kim; grandchildren Tyler and Charlotte Marshall, Justin Marshall and Sabrina Symons, and Brock Marshall; as well as great-grandchildren Emily and Spencer Marshall; nephew Troy Young and niece Triss Carlson. Lynda was born in Weyburn SK, but soon found herself living in various towns in the province before settling with her family in Saskatoon by her teens. Lynda took advantage of a great opportunity at a blood lab at St. Paul's Hospital; it soon led to a job serving Veterinary Medicine students with blood lab services out of Royal University Hospital. It was on University of Saskatchewan campus where she met future husband Colin. They settled in Swift Current after Colin graduated from Vet Med in 1970, and were married in Creston B.C. in 1971.Colin had always wanted to live outside of city limits; a notion Lynda was initially reticent to embrace. Ultimately relenting on that stance, she died loving the solitude acreage living afforded her. She and Colin proved a formidable team and built a home on a foundation of honest work, dedication, and mutual love both for the property and for each other. It was a truly equal partnership; she carried on the legacy they built together until her untimely end. Lynda enjoyed bowling in the late 70s and curling in the late 80s with Colin, but they both found their true passion in golf around the same time, and played at Chinook Golf Course since it first opened in 1989. They both fell in love with Texas by 2006; they enjoyed five winters there, and planned many more before Dad succumbed to cancer in 2012. Lynda was blessed with many friends over the years, both in Canada and the U.S. She was well respected in the community for her positive and friendly demeanour. She rarely ever complained and was always considerate and giving to others. No matter how dark the hour, Mom's essence shone brightly. She will be dearly missed by friends and family alike.
