Leslie Mae Stamm (nee Baum) Obituary

Stamm (nee. Baum), Leslie Mae (1952-2021)
Leslie passed away at home on July 5, 2021. She is survived by her daughter, Raven Stamm; her sisters Vicki (Conrad) Schuster, Joanne (Len) Bueckert, and Deborah (Brian) Rollman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Victor, her mother, Dorothy and her brother, Keith.
Leslie was born in Swift Current, SK. in 1952.  She attended school at Oman briefly and then attended Dixon School.
Throughout her life she held many jobs, with the majority, if not all, in the service industry.  When it became too difficult to work outside the home she kept herself very busy and involved with maintaining her reading, writing, math, spelling and computer skills.  Leslie had a fierce determination to not let herself lose those skills.
She was well loved and supported throughout her life with active participation in a wide range of groups and organizations, such as: The Abilities Council; SSILC; Church; the library; Continuing education for seniors with the University; the mental health community; along with that of her family.
Leslie's interests and devotion always included her nieces and nephews prior to the birth of her daughter, Raven. Raven was a bright light in her mom's eyes. Like most moms, Leslie worried about Raven, wanting the best for her.  And more importantly Leslie cherished the close relationship they were able to grow and maintain with calls and visits.
Leslie was incredibly talented in seeking out various hobbies and interests over the years, from ceramics, to socializing, to church and bible studies, to writing letters to family, to taking her numerous nieces and nephews on adventures, to trips with family, and keeping up with her forever expanding and changing family.
Leslie took her job as a daughter, as a sister, as an aunt, as a mother, and as a niece very seriously. Her time, her love and devotion to her family will truly be missed.
