Lawrence Ewert

Ewert, Lawrence Henry, age 78, of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, passed away on February 1, 2026, at The Meadows. 

Lawrence is survived by his wife Noreen; sons: Rob (Korinna), Ed (Lori); sister Christine (Jim) Sowden; sister-in-law Marj (John) DenHoed; brother-in-law Ken (Pat) Moore; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Sarah (Fehr) Ewert; sister Elaine Ginter; Aunt Katherine Fehr; parents-in-law Wes and Doris Moore.

Lawrence was born on September 13, 1947, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, and he attended school in Swift Current, and SAIT in Calgary.  On June 27, 1969, he married Noreen Moore in Calgary, Alberta.  

He worked in numerous mechanic shops in Alberta and Saskatchewan, and he also owned a Suzuki shop in Drayton Valley.  Lawrence was a member of the 567 Club, and Kinsmen Club in Drayton Valley, the Eliminator’s Car Club in Swift Current, and Speedy Creek Model Railroad Club.

Lawrence enjoyed classic cars, model trains, quadding, motorcycles, and could often be found out in the yard plinking at targets.  In memory of Lawrence, donations to the Speedy Creek Model Railroad Club, or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

The memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Warren’s Funeral Home with Pastor Patti Sherk officiating.  At Lawrences request, you are invited to wear comfortable, casual clothing to his service.  Following the service, the family invites you to join them for fellowship and refreshments at St. Stephen’s Church Hall.
