Kevin Sparky Chase

Son, Father, Grandfather, Partner and friend died peacefully in his sleep September 21, 2022 at the age of 58 years.  Kevin was born to Glen and Elizabeth “Chris” Chase October21, 1963 at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba.  Kevin’s early years were spent in Winnipeg attending John Gunn Middle School before moving to Swift Current, Saskatchewan in 1977.  He attended Grade 9 at Beatty School and grades 10 to 12 at Swift Current Composite school, excelling at soccer and graduating in 1980.  Kevin welcomed Daughter Hailey in February 1994, Daughter Christina in 1999, and Son Nathan in 2002.  He was a grandfather and liked nothing more than cuddling and playing with his Grand Daughters Remedy in 2020, Jacqueline in 2019 and Elouise in 2021 any time he had the chance.  Kevin was a collector, tools, property, clothes, wood, machinery and pretty much anything he could buy on sale or two for one or get a great deal on he had it.  He was sentimental and still has a lot of his kid’s toys and clothes and even the house they livid in at Herbert, Saskatchewan.  He loved travelling and road trips, Vancouver, Ottawa, Mexico, and many places in Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan were visited by Kevin in the last few years.  Kevin loved people and music and comedy, he always found the funny side of life.  Kevin worked in Coronach, the oil fields and earned his Journeyman Electrical Certificate in Moose Jaw, applying in 1989 to a salt plant in Chaplin.  He worked for different owners, upgrading and automating the salt mine and was employed as Instrumentation and technologist at Saskatchewan Mining and Minerals at the time of his death.  He was looking forward to retiring this year and completing many of the tasks he had left incomplete at home.  Kevin was predeceased by his Grandparents: Homer and Elsie Chase, and Peter and Francis Miszczak: Father Glen in 2018.  He is survived by his Mother Elizabeth “Chris” Chase: Partner Coralee Eytcheson; Daughters: Hailey (Joey), and Christina Chase (Colton Karst), Son Nathan Chase, and Stepson Cameron (Christine Eytcheson); Granddaughters: Remedy, Jacqueline, and Elouise.  Memorial Service to take place at 2:00 pm, October 22, 2022 from the Chaplin Community Hall, Chaplin Saskatchewan.  Donations in lieu of flowers to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.  Arrangements entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home.  For further information please call 1-306-773-8831 or 1-800-267-6606, or visit our website at www.warrensfuneralhome.com and express your sympathy to family members on the tribute wall.
