Kenneth Arnold Stusrud, age 92, of Gull Lake, SK, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Gull Lake Special Care Home. The private family graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from the Gull Lake Cemetery with Pastor Pride Davis officiating. The pallbearers were Dustin Stusrud, Marlen Stusrud, Shane Stusrud, Eric Stusrud, Kris Stusrud and Brendan Jones. Ken is survived by his son, Roger (Lynn) Stusrud and grandsons, Eric, Joshua and Kris Stusrud; daughter Sherry (Tom) Lerner; stepson, Bill Proud; and brothers, Leonard Stusrud and Stanley (Jan) Stusrud. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Hans and Sigrid Stusrud, spouse, Olive Stusrud, grandson, Reno Proud, brothers, Dennis, Gordon and Hubert Stusrud, and sisters, Sonja Jones and Eileen Bevolden. Ken was born December 11, 1928 and attended school at Richview School. Ken married Olive McLeod on June 1, 1961. Ken left home at a young age to work at logging camps in BC and Ontario. The prairies drew him back to begin his lifetime love of growing the homestead farm along with his son, Roger. He continued farming/ranching, making his last round in the field in July of this year. Ken had a deep love of animals, including numerous furry friends; devoting his life to looking after them to the best of his ability. Ken had such a friendly personality and loved getting to know everyone he met. He had a great memory for telling old stories.
