Kasper Kaiser Obituary

KAISER: Kasper Nick Nov 30, 1923 - Sept 23, 2021 aged 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday Sept 23, 2021 at the Swift Current Meadows.

Kasper was born to Joseph Sr. and Magdalena (Bolen) Kaiser on Nov. 30, 1923 in Vanguard, SK. He was the fourth youngest of six children. He grew up on the family farm and attended the small country school in Esme, SK. He met the love of his life, Frieda Fischer, at a country dance. They were married on Oct. 23rd, 1943
in Vanguard, SK.

They lived and farmed near Vanguard until they moved to Swift Current in 1948. That same year Dad went to the Chicago Vocational School in Edmonton where he received his training in welding. He worked weekends and long into the night building the family home in Swift Current while at the same time farming, working
at McIntyre Manufacturing, and raising his family. The family home was completed in 1952 and over the years there were many gatherings, birthdays, and holiday celebrations as the family grew with the addition of their 4 children, Ron, Ken, Wayne, and Kathy. Over the years Mom and Dad enjoyed watching their children grow and the addition of their beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Over their 48 years together Mom and Dad loved to dance and spent many evenings at local dances as well as playing cards and socializing with their many friends and family. They also enjoyed camping and boating, purchasing a cabin on Lac Pelletier. Dad was very young at heart, he even enjoyed water skiing at the age
of 65.

Dad worked at McIntyre Manufacturing for 33 years until it closed. He took part in the construction of "Blow Torch" the famous mechanical horse that made its appearance in the Frontier Days parade, something he was very proud of, as well as building tractor cabs that were sold and distributed all over North America. Dad
then moved to Fabro Manufacturing for 10 years until his retirement in 1991 at the age of 68 years to care for Mom.

In his retirement Dad enjoyed spending time at the Swift Current Seniors Centre as a board member as well as playing pool, shuffleboard, cards, and attending many dances. His mechanical abilities proved useful in his continuing care for the Centre
until it closed. He was able to remain in the home he built for his family until the age of 95.

Kasper will be lovingly remembered by his four children: Ron (Bertha) Kaiser of Swift Current, Ken (Merrily Aubrey) Kaiser of Nova Scotia, Wayne (Deb) Kaiser of Saskatoon, and Kathy (Bryant) Pratt of Swift Current. Grandchildren include Rose Chapman, Angel (Morgan) Ulph, Arwen Aubrey and Zyré Aubrey and families, Jessica (Andy McGhee), Wade (Ann yin Luu) Kaiser, Brandi (Keith Howitt) Kaiser, Meagan (Brodie) Graham, Brandon (Tabitha) Pratt, and Kurtis
(Matthew Sawatzky) Pratt. Great-grandchildren include: Katelyn, Jenna, Gregory, Regan, Austin Chapman, Scott Ulph, Aaron, Meirwyn, Cian Aubrey, Savannah, Nevaeh, Chase Kaiser, Zoey and Sloane Graham, and his brothers Robert (Juno) Kaiser and Pete (Myrna) Kaiser and numerous nieces and nephews.
