June Feil Obituary

It is with great sadness the family of June Feil announce her passing on February 9, 2024 in Swift Current at the Meadows with her family by her side at the age of 83. June was born on June 10, 1940 in Cabri, SK to Kathleen and Henry Wagner, and attended school in Swift Current. June married Roy Feil on August 11, 1956 and moved to the farm In the Beaver Flat area where they resided for 45 years until retiring into Swift Current. They raised 4 children: Susan, Teresa, Jim and Yvette. June enjoyed the farm and spent a lot of her time outside working in the fields, vegetable and flower gardens, tending to the cows, calves, chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese. Her favorite time of the year was spring. She enjoyed the new life on the farm with the baby calves, kittens, and chicks. She loved watching the fields turn green after seeding. She loved walking in the pasture and seeing the crocuses blooming, hearing the meadowlarks singing and seeing the ducks geese return every year. June always had a large flower and vegetable garden on the farm and in town. The grandchildren loved her dill pickles and her Christmas cookies. She enjoyed bringing bouquets of her fresh cut flowers to church on Sundays. June loved baking buns and making her noodles. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and making her children and grandchildren clothes and blankets. In her retirement she started Stitching by June, selling her blankets, T-towels and crochet items. June is survived by her children: Susan (Harley) Hagman, children: Katie (Richard Gamble) Hagman, Kelli (Ryan) Ripley (Payton, Brady), Brittany (Brennen) Heebner (Hayes, Briar), and Amanda Hagman.
