Josephine Crosby Obituary

CROSBY: Josephine "Jo" passed away on April 1, 2022, at the age of 101 and 6 months, at Cypress House Personal Care Home in Swift Current, SK where she spent the last 2 months following a stoke. She previously resided at College Park Seniors Residence in Regina, SK. Jo was born to Joseph and Ellen Jones in Brixton, England in  September 1920. She served in the British Airforce in W.W. II and married Canadian serviceman David Todd in 1944 and came to Sask. as a war bride with daughter Diane in 1946. David was killed in a tragic accident in 1947. Jo worked many places as a bookkeeper and married Robert Crosby (CPR station and freight agent) in 1952. Robert passed in 1989. Jo was a former member of IODE, and treasurer of volunteers for the Wascana Rehab Center in Regina for many years and a very active member of the Order of Eastern Star chapter in Govan up to her passing. GG Jo as she was called by her great grandchildren is survived by her daughter Diane (Ron) Peters of Beechy, SK; step grandchildren Chad (Jodie) Peters and their children Liam and Carson of Beechy, Wendy (Jamie) Smyth and their children Devin, Asher and Chadden of Lethbridge, AB; and many many who call her Mom and Grandma. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
