John Tyberg Obituary

 

Tyberg, John Dennis, age 75 years of Swift Current, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully on December 3, 2021, at Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, Alberta. A private memorial service to honor John's life will be held on Saturday January 8, 2022, at 2:00pm at Warren's Funeral Home in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. The interment service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery following the service.

John was predeceased by his wife Lorna Tyberg on March 22, 2021, and he is survived by his daughter Denise Davies (Daniel Levasseur), and grandchildren Ethan Davies and Marin Davies; his son Brad Tyberg (Hanh Minh Nguyen), and grandchildren Rio Son Tyberg and Marco Lam Tyberg; his sister Joan Bender and niece Dawn (Oral) Hawkins; brother Richard (Linda) Tyberg; nephew Ryan (Kirsten) Tyberg; nephew Dustin Tyberg and children Dillon and Lucas Tyberg; and nephew Cody Tyberg. He was predeceased by his parents Evangeline and Henry Tyberg, brother Earl Tyberg; brother Gerald Tyberg; sister Marlene Honsberger; sister Carol Hasjord; brother Ronald Tyberg; brother-in-law Wayne Bender, nephew Sheldon Bender, and great nephew Cole Hawkins. John is also survived by his sister-in-law Gina Rohs (Don Rohs) and nephew David Rohs and children Alexa, Lucas, and Caleb Rohs; nephew Kevin Rohs (Kassandra Rohs) and children Garrett, Gradyn, and Gavin Rohs; niece Maria Rohs (Lloyd Bulloch) and Amanda Perry (Brett Perry) and child Daniel Perry; sister-in-law Julie Jensen (Ron Jensen) and Jeffrey Jensen; John is also survived by Lorna's nieces Catherine, Janet, Carey, Lori, and Debbie. 

John was born at Swift Current, Saskatchewan on January 17, 1946. He attended school at Waldeck, Saskatchewan. John married the love of his life, Lorna Pressacco on August 16, 1969. They were married for almost 52 years. After high school, at the age of 18, John started working at the Department of Highways in Swift Current as a gravel checker. Over the years he worked his way up to be the Supervisor of Operations. John worked for the Department of Highways for 32 years. Following his retirement, John worked in the oil fields operating heavy equipment. John had a deep passion for hunting and guiding and loved being in the outdoors. John loved camping, long drives in the country with a coffee, country music, gardening, and spending time with his wife, his neighbors, and his family. John was gifted at making friends everywhere he went in a short amount of time. John, like Lorna thoroughly enjoyed attending Swift Current Bronco hockey games and they enjoyed attending games for many years. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  John was loved by everyone who knew him, and he will be profoundly missed.
