John Koenig Obituary

Koenig, John was born on July 7, 1931 in St. Boswells, Saskatchewan and passed away on January 8, 2023 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.  John was born to Christian and Rosina Koenig, and was the youngest child with four older sisters (Mary, Pauline, Milliee, and Victoria).  He was raised on the farm north of Hazenmore, Saskatchewan.  John was blessed with five children: Janet (Jim), Sherry (David), Vicki, Aaron, and Tanya (Mark); grandchildren: Christie, Russell, James, David, Kennedy, Konnor, Karson, and Lena; and nine great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his parents Christian and Rosina; siblings: Mary, Victoria, and Millie; special nephews Wilmer and Leverne Silzer.  John is survived by his wife Drinda; sister Pauline who is 103 years old; his children; grandchildren and great grandchildren; several cousins; nephews and nieces.  Dad was an avid lover of music and spent many hours playing music with his friends and family, which were very special times for him.  He will be missed and always loved.  Donations in John's memory may be made to the Swift Current S.P.C.A., Box 1163, Swift Current, Saskatchewan S9H 3X3.  Arrangements entrusted to Warren’s Funeral Home.
