It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Jeff Goohsen who passed away suddenly and peacefully June 14 at the family farm due to a heart attack.  Jeff  was born December 12, 1976 at the Swift Current Hospital.  He graduated from Gull Lake School then went on to attend Luther College in Regina.  He then attended the University of Saskatchewan VocAg program then studied a massage therapy program.  He decided to return to the family farm to join his father and his brother, John, as a partner in the family farm business.  He was married to Angelina but remained at the family farm after their parting.  He found it interesting studying correspondence courses online as well as Welding at SIAST in Swift Current where he placed second in the class.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting, karate, trapshooting, and cooking.  He particularly enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.  He also spent some time traveling to Costa Rica, Mexico, Japan and throughout the USA.  He reflected positively on a family trip his parents and sister, Jackie, had taken and longed to return.  Jeff is survived by his parents, Jack and Jeanette Goohsen and his five siblings: Jackie Lovely and her children Jarad and Amanda; Lisa (Robert) Nystuen; Kathy (Jim) Ortlieb and their children Parker and Sydney, Alice (Jake) Hollopeter and their children Drew, Lauren and Bryce, and John (Jody) Goohsen and their children Jessintha, Olivia and Jett.  He is survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  The celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, June 22, at Salem Lutheran Church in Shaunavon at 2:00 PM.  He will be laid to rest at the Good Hope Lutheran cemetery a half a mile south of the family farm where he grew up.  Arrangements entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home, for further information please call 1-306-773-8831 or 1-800-267-6606, or visit our website at www.warrensfuneralhome.com and express your sympathy to family members on the tribute wall.
