James Anderson Obituary

ANDERSON: James Kenneth age 87 of Swift Current, SK passed away on Saturday August 10, 2019. The memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2019 from Walker Place with Pastor Greg Kiel officiating. James in survived by his sons Ronald Anderson of Swift Current, Brent Anderson of Oro-Medonte, ON and Clinton Anderson of Calgary, AB; his granddaughter Kayla Tait; brothers Robert Anderson of Edmonton, AB and Franklin Anderson of Rush Lake, SK; sisters Frances Gerlach of Regina, SK and Beulah Goby of Regina, SK; as well as numerus nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents John and Ulga Anderson; his wife Margaret Anderson; brother Glen Anderson; and sisters Rose Marie Heffley and Vivian Freisen. Jim was born in Rush Lake on August 28, 1931 and starting in 1938 attended Center Spring School. He was united in marriage on November 4, 1961 to Margaret Dunham in Swift Current at the First United Church. Jim was a farmer but also worked for the R.M. of Excelsior No. 166, the Department of Highways in Swift Current, Gravelbourg and Central Butte as well as several road building companies across Saskatchewan. Jim was very interested in airplanes and helicopters. He remembered his one and only flight to Ontario in a modern jet with his wife Margaret to see Niagara Falls, the CN Tower and the Royal Ontario Museum.
