Irene Buck

Buck, Irene Isabella of Medicine Hat, Alberta and formerly of Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, passed away at the age of 83 years on April 6, 2023.  The funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on April 24, 2023 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Rev. Annette Taylor officiating.  The interment service was held at Good Hope Lutheran Cemetery.  The pallbearers were Chris Nyen, Brent Buck, Brandon Buck, Aaron Logan, Eric Logan, and Kevin Marcoux.  Irene is survived by: son Guy (Donna Buck), and grandchildren Jenna (Mike) Goodberry, Brent, Brandon (Jessica); daughter Nancy (Doug Biehn), and grandchildren Sarah Ellefson, Justine (Kevin) Marcoux, Chris Nyen; daughter Ellen (Dan) Logan, and grandchildren Aaron (Kayla) Logan, Eric Logan; great grandchildren; and sister Marilyn Colby.  She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Minnie (Muma) Wilson; husband Larry Wayne Buck; and brother Bob Wilson.  Irene was born on February 11, 1940 at the home of Royce and Irene Smith, and attended school in Maple Creek.  She married Larry Wayne Buck on June 15, 1962 at the Maple Creek United Church.  Irene worked at the Medicine Hat and Swift Current Hospitals, and she also worked at the Buck Farm until her retirement.  She was a member of the Horseshoe Bend Club in the Aldag District, the Knox United Church Choir and a member of the U.C.W., and was a chair for 16 years.  Irene enjoyed curling, golfing, swimming, gardening, and loved all animals especially cats.  She thoroughly enjoyed catering to her grandchildren.  Donation's in Irene's memory to the Parkinson Society of Saskatchewan, 110B-2103 Airport Dr, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7L 6W2.  Arrangements entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home, for further information please call 1-306-773-8831 or 1-800-267-6606, or visit our website at www.warrensfuneralhome.com, and express your sympathy to family members on the tribute wall.
