Heather Elaine Lang (Kuhlmann)
September 24th, 1958 – December 21st, 2022
Heather Elaine, or also known as beloved “Ethel,” passed away peacefully and comfortably surrounded by loved ones on December 21st, 2022. She was born to Charlie and Sylvia Lang in Imperial Saskatchewan, where she was one of three siblings (Arlene and Kim Lang). She then grew up in Davidson Saskatchewan. Throughout her life she met numerous people from all over and never left them without a smile. Mom was at Kelsey Institute for 2 years, 1977-1979, and became a photo finisher secretary from 1979-1993. In 1997 mom started working for the Saskatchewan Health Authority where she met lifelong friends. She was phenomenal at her job and is still missed to this day. In her later years of life she started fighting the fight with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. She fought damn hard with multiple people rooting for her. Even though MS took much of her life away from her, she was still full of so much life. She could make you belly laugh at her witty remarks or smart comments. She always was scheming up a joke or had something up her sleeve that would make you burst out laughing. She always had a smile. Mom was able to make a special bond with everyone that she met and that has been immensely remembered. She was kind, genuine, and her daughter Desirae’s best friend. Heather loved everyone - It did not matter who they were or what they had done in life. If they were in Heather’s life, she loved them no matter what. Mom would have wanted to thank people who continued to see her for her, and not her illness.
There wasn’t a time that went by that people would leave Ethel’s home without a laugh or two. Her family hopes that she is remembered for her infectious grin, optimism, positivity, and jokes. She had the greatest mindset in life and was the strongest lady inside and out. She would want everyone to know just how loved they are and how much she appreciated each and every one of you in her life.
Kim Lang and Desirae Kuhlmann would like to thank everyone for their kind words and are hopeful that people will continue to celebrate life no matter the circumstances it throws.
Mom was hopeful that people would make a donation to the local Swift Current SPCA in memory of her, or better yet adopt a dog or cat. As Ethel said, “every animal needs a loving home.”
