Harvey Hurrell

Hurrell, Reginald Harvey age 98 years of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, passed away on June 26, 2023 at the Cypress Regional Hospital.  The funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. on July 4, 2023 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Rev. Annette Taylor officiating.  The interment service was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Ryan Hurrell, Darren Hurrell, Sharon Hurrell, Brandon Williams, Tanner Williams, and Matthew Hurrell.  Harvey is survived by his brother-in-law George Wilson; sister-in-law Dora Hurrell; nieces Lenora Mountain, Darlene Doupe, Glenna Seguin, Sharon Hurrell; nephews Lloyd Flood, Brent Pendleton, Darren Hurrell, and Ryan Hurrell; and several great nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his father John Edward Reginald Hurrell; mother Mary Myrtle McLean; brothers and sisters William James Hurrell, Jean Flood, Helen Wilson, Edna Hurrell, Barry Hurrell, Marshal Hurrell, Elgin Hurrell, Bill Hurrell, and another sister Edna Hurrell; infant brother David, and another unnamed infant brother Hurrell.  Harvey was born on the family farm near Hazlet on November 30, 1924.  He was a bachelor all his life, and was always on the hunt for Miss right.  He kept busy on his farm/ranch the "Double H Ranch" near Pennant, Saskatchewan.  Harvey loved horses, and dogs, and all wildlife.  He had a special interest in travelling during his retirement.  He always had a big smile and a wave for little children and pretty ladies, and found humour in nearly any situation.  Harvey was a tough, but kind cowboy who appreciated time with friends.  He was very independent and lived alone until the time of his passing.  He rode his powerchair all over after losing his driving privileges for being nearly deaf.  Donations in Harvey's memory may be made to the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital, or to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan.  Arrangements Entrusted To: Warren's Funeral Home.  For further information please call 1-306-773-8831 or 1-800-267-6606, or visit our website at www.warrensfuneralhome.com and express your sympathy to family members on the tribute wall.
